I didn't do it. Nobody saw me do it. You can't prove anything.

To me that seems a very roundabout way to get 5. How do you know you aren't meant to multiply the original digits? Or divide, or take away? Or multiply by e to the x squared and integrate the whole thing? Or to simply add up the original numerical values? Hebrew did that, after all, and that's probably one of the most significant systems of number-letter substitution.
You get 68 if you do that, by the way. Which translates to a shift by 16 if you take it in itself (since two times 26 is 52), or a shift by 14 if you add up its digits, a shift by 5 if you then add up those digits... you can probably see where I'm going with this.
You're going to yell and throw me out again, aren't you?
[Edit]Please excuse the abysmal mathematics used before I edited this post. Flying monkerys are harassing me and the Antisocial Behaviour Order isn't being enforced.[/Edit]

Ringget manages not to go into a fit and breathes heavily for a couple of times.
"You, little one, I know my methods! These methods have been approved and unchanged for almost two thousand years. You might not think it logical, but in a way it is! So accept it and keep on looking what you can do with the number five."
