Oh, come on! what harm can we do? You aren't cowards, are you?
*Hiyamoto is terribly exiting, spilling some water over the guard...* Sorry... *Guard looks angrily at him...* *Hiyamoto throws water over him to cool the guard down...* *Laughs, though the guard doesn't seem to enjoy it...* *Kicks his gun out of his holster...* Now, peace dude! *Is all happy and active, to remove the boredom...*

Planet... hmm... planet. Use it "alphabetically". Well letters? Order? Such a cryptic remark and it looks like we need to decrypt it to decrypt the next paragraph!
What could be so important that such powerful means would be needed? What would the Elders wish to keep so hidden? What will we unlock?
.... Should we unlock it... if it's been hidden for so long... would it be sensible?Sorry I haven't posted much on this as of late Amaunator, I've been in essay land all week. I'll have anther big stab at solving it as the weekend

No problem, I'm quite occupied myself lately, so I won't be posting large things anytime soon.

*Jack experimentally throws a cupful of water over Hiyamoto, to see whether he enjoys it as much as he expects the guard to.*
So, anyway... is that guy in the habit of yelling and throwing people out of the lab? I mean, it wasn't exactly our fault that he decided to knock the water over...

*Laughs when Jack throws the water over him...* Good one! *Chuckles...* But you are right... I guess he's just mad... And overstressed...

No! No! No! Hmmm... my attempts to apply it "alphabetically" Ringget are not exactly generating any answers. Alphabetically must means it either relates to the letters themselves, or their order! But alas, it's not as simple as all that.
Get out the Jules Verne...
Hmmm... maybe it is the order...
Will someone shut up those kids!
um... aelnpt... *sigh*Fear not Amaunator, just musing in the RP, I don't desperatly need clues... yet

"You keep on looking for that. I think I got it! the letters 'p', 'l', 'a', 'n', 'e', 't' each have their number in the alphabet. So If I add them up then I get 5! That's it! Try moving the letters five spots forward or backward in the alphabet!" Ringget shouts, almost wanting to kiss himself, how he would do such is unbeknownst to himself though.
No clues huh?

We can...
DANCE! ;D
Or move all the letters five spots and see if stuff happens. Can't see how Am... Ringget got the number 5 from "planet" though.

*Knocks on the door to the lab, which they still haven't been let back in to.* Hello? Hello? I think I left my umbrella in there... You guessed it, we want in

Ringget hears them talking at the other side of the door and gets fed up with it. "Ok, do you want in or out! Either way, it's going to be shut up and sit quietly! We've got loads of stuff to do and only now have we had a breakthrough. You, I heard you talk about how I got five huh? It's easy. Take the letters from planet and make them numbers (a=1,b=2, ...), such you get: p=16 , l=12 , a=1 , n=14 , e=5 , t=20 -> p=7 , l=3 , a=1 , n=5 , e=5 , t=2 -> 7+3+1+5+5+2=23 -> 2+3= 5!
It's not that difficult if you know what to do. That's how I got 5! You happy now!" He rambles at the door, the others only vaguely hear everything while he just continues his sums at the speed of a raging river.
He holds open the door while continuing to rant. Again Loracius is working on and laughing. They come in without any water cups and are pointed to some seats in the corner. There are only two though ...

That is based on the assumption that whoever made the code used the same alphabet as our current, and by GODS even the same LANGUAGE. It was a decent idea, but personally I'd just move the text into a computer and try moving all the letters all the numbers! Now I've lost all respect for you as a scientist.

"I'm sorry little schoolboy, but the fact that it uses plain English does make me thinking it to be our alphabet!" (Ok, that wasn't supposed to happen , I would have asked Kaiser to have let me translate it from 'latin' for him, but I was too late, my stupid, do judge me as you please , I'm here mostly to throw you off track, though I sometimes give tips too, beware ).
Ringget ignores the man for now and goes back to work trying to shift the letters forwards or backwards. Two RPs really aren't a good idea , I had problems in my previous post with that too .
