"Nemesis". A disturbingly large number of stories are beginning to name bad guys, titles, or people "Nemesis". They obviously see this as a cheap and easy way of making the bad guy sound evil and powerful because Nemesis is defined as: An enemy who is utterly undefeatable
First of all, the whole contradiction berates me. If you beat them they can't be a Nemesis! Secondly, the fact is Nemesis, well to me, is becoming tiring and repetative and no longer inspires fear.
And just to show I'm not paranoid you can find a Nemesis in: B&W Dungeon Keeper 2 Star Trek: Nemesis At least half a dozen programs have an episode entitle Nemesis. An Isaac Asimov Story Xcom An operating system A ride A theory
The next time I hear someone say "they are our nemeses" I will scream and possibly tear out their eyes.
If you type "Nemesis" into Google the Roman God doen't turn up till page 2! Page 2! Outrage!
So any overused words that bug any others? Or am I alone in my indignation? ;D

Originally, 1337 h4x0rz used l33t-sp34k. But then, n00bs thinking they were 1337 started to use l33t-sp34k and the 1337 h4x0rz stopped because n00bs spoke 1337. Easy ^_^

I got something to add to the Nemesis thing ...
Nemesis isn't just a 'god of war' and 'ultimate arch-adversary', but it's also the latin for wrath, so it's also somebody who's getting you back for something (mostly divine wrath too I think).
