I think that coast line and a river are quite applicable for that too .
Coastline maybe, except you posted that after Kaiser. But if you've ever seen a river that doesn't move... As for Kaiser's one, I'm going to guess at love.

Very difficult... If you go too far, to stuff like sun, love and such! You can't drink it. People THINK it's neccesary, it's worth lots... And it slowly dissapears... And fountain helped me as well... It's OIL! Nice riddle dude! But heard it before! It was told a bit different back then, though...
