Why not just uninstall the whole thing, then reinstall it from the website? You won't lose your contacts.

Even in add/remove programs?

I tried via 'Software'. This is the add/remove BTW... And that doesn't work. It needs that... *Swearing alert!*MOTHERFUCKING-HELLISH-BY-MICROSOFT-MADE-WORSE-THAN-BUSH-FUCKING-.MSI-FILE! RARGH! Excuse me! PS: Didn't write what I actually wanted to say... Was much too rude...

Weird.
What windows are using. 'Cause if you're using Windows 98 a Dos delete might work.

Can't you just go to the MSN website and download messenger as you normally would? That's what I did to update and it works fine. Give it a go.

Cause I can't update... I can't remove it either, cause it needs that .msi file. If I want to get any working msn on my comp, I need to deïnstall MSN 6.2, cause else it'll crash. But somehow, I can't.

Nono, you misunderstand me. Don't update it through messenger, as you said that won't work.
Instead, go to MSN.com and download messenger as you would for the first time. Don't bother trying to uninstall anything.

Nono, you misunderstand me. That doesn't work either. I need that damn .msi file to do anything with msn, it seems...

Can't you just delete everything in your directory(from MSN of course and in your explorer and THEN just install over it? Unless this fucks up your computer, I would think of it as a good method .
